How to prepare it, by age

All three stages stand side by side. We don't know how old your child is, so read the stage that fits you.

At 6 months

Cook red lentils until they fall apart into a purée. Just a small amount to start.

From 9 months

Soft cooked lentils mashed, or shaped into little balls to pick up.

From 12 months

Eat them together as a stew or dal. Lentils are small enough to eat whole.
